Armaan Malik sang the song "Bum Bum Bole" for the 2007 movie "Taare Zameen Par" when he was only 10 years old. Since then, he has pursued a career as a playback singer and independent singer-songwriter, collaborating with various artists. Recently, he performed with Ed Sheeran and Marshmello during their tours in India. During a recent visit to Bengaluru, Armaan shared his belief in turning his dreams into reality. He expressed his journey through different phases as a singer and his aspirations for the future, including winning a Grammy and collaborating with artists like Charlie Puth, Zedd, and Justin Bieber.

Armaan reflected on the evolving music scene, noting a shift towards prioritizing viral hits over quality music. He emphasized the importance of preserving the authenticity of music and the need for laws to protect artists' rights from technologies that could manipulate their voices without consent. Armaan expressed concern over songs that have been altered to sound like his voice, highlighting the challenges artists face in maintaining the integrity of their work against such practices.I find it both amusing and concerning that anyone can use my voice and texture to produce a song without regulations in place. While AI can be beneficial, there should be laws safeguarding artists' rights to prevent technology from diminishing the authenticity of music. I strongly believe that real instruments and musicians should always play a crucial role in music creation. What is authentic should stay authentic. Collaborations are a fantastic way to unite different worlds, fans, and styles. Working with another artist is thrilling, but it's crucial to have a genuine admiration for their work. I have a few favorite artists whom I would love to collaborate with because I appreciate their music and creative approach. Successful collaborations hinge on mutual admiration and passion. I have been fortunate to collaborate with many artists I admire, including the dreamlike experience of working with AR Rahman. The power of manifestation has made dreams a reality for many talented individuals, even those in remote areas, as long as they have talent and internet access. It's an exciting time for independent music in India. A playback singer must adapt their vocal style to suit the on-screen persona of the actor when compared to the creative freedom in independent music. Adjusting tone and style to match the on-screen personality and charisma of an older actor can be challenging but rewarding. Singing with Ed was a dream come true for me.Armaan Malik expressed his humility in performing alongside Ed Sheeran. Despite Sheeran's massive fame, he remained remarkably humble. It is uncommon to encounter someone of his success who continues to be down-to-earth. They engaged in meaningful discussions about various types of music, including Indian music, and Sheeran expressed an interest in working with more Indian artists. A strong bond formed between Ed and Armaan, leading to a close friendship that Armaan regards as brotherhood. Recently, Armaan Malik delivered a sold-out performance at Bharatiya City in Bengaluru.
